Personal auto quote to bind
How do we take a personal auto quote from the website, an agent call or an AI agent to a bound policy, with the driver, vehicle and prior insurance data verified and the disclosures signed?
Run one quote-to-bind behind every door. Callvu prefills the applicant from what the insurer already knows and from the reports (the motor vehicle record, the prior carrier and loss history, the vehicle data from the identification number), takes only the missing answers on a secure screen, chases the proofs the rating needs (prior insurance, the driver's license, photos where the state or the policy requires), rates and classifies the risk against the underwriting rules, routes a quote outside authority to the underwriter in the Decision Desk, delivers the state's disclosures and captures the signature and the payment, and writes the bound policy to the policy system. The problem today
The quote on the website, the quote the agent gave on the phone and the quote the AI assistant produced were three different numbers for the same driver.
A prospect gets a quote online, calls to ask a question, and the agent re-keys everything into a different screen; the AI assistant in the app starts a third version. Each asks the same questions, none pulls the reports until the end, and the bind fails because the prior insurance proof never arrived and the disclosure was unsigned. The prospect buys elsewhere.
A bound auto policy rests on the state's insurance code and the insurer's binding rules: the application's material facts, the rating from the verified driver and vehicle data, the state's required disclosures and offers (uninsured motorist, personal injury protection, the rejection forms where allowed), the proof of prior coverage that drives the rate, the signature, and the effective date and time of the binder. Each is a data point or a document, and the policy system holds the result.
The three channels should be one record with one rate.
How it runs
From the requestto the system of record.
A prospect starts a quote on the website or in the app, with an agent on a call, or through an AI agent over MCP. Callvu opens one quote record and prefills it.
- Applicant
- Confirms the prefilled data, answers what is missing, uploads proofs, signs the disclosures and pays on a secure screen.
- Agent
- Sees the same record on a call, co-browses, and sends the applicant a link to finish.
- Underwriter
- Decides quotes outside authority in the Decision Desk.
- Callvu
- Prefills from the insurer's data and the reports, chases proofs, rates and classifies, routes, delivers disclosures, captures signature and payment, and writes.
Prefill and complete
Identity, address, the household's known drivers and vehicles, the vehicle data decoded from the identification number, the motor vehicle record, the prior carrier and the loss history are prefilled with consent; the applicant answers only what the rating still needs (usage, mileage, garaging, coverage choices) on a secure screen, in whichever channel they are in.
Chase and verify
The proofs the rate depends on are requested through a link and read on arrival: the declarations page of the prior policy for the continuous coverage discount, the driver's license for each listed driver, vehicle photos where the state or the insurer requires them for physical damage coverage; discrepancies between the answers and the reports are put to the applicant with the specifics.
Classify and decide
The risk is rated and classified against the underwriting rules (eligibility, surcharges, tier) by rule; a quote outside the agent's or the system's binding authority (a violation pattern, a high-value vehicle, a gap in coverage) goes to the underwriter in the Decision Desk with the rated record and only the allowed outcomes: bind as rated, bind with conditions, or decline with the adverse action notice where the reports drove it.
Disclose, sign and write back
The state's disclosures and offers (uninsured and underinsured motorist, personal injury protection, the coverage selection and rejection forms where the state requires a signature) are delivered and signed on the applicant's phone, the first payment is captured on a secure screen, the binder is issued with its effective date and time, and the bound policy is written to the policy system with the documents, the proofs and the signatures attached.
Where it ends: One quote became one bound policy in the policy system from whichever door it started, rated on verified data, with the state's disclosures signed and the proofs attached. The Decision Trace shows the prefill sources, the rating and any underwriting decision; the Audit Trace shows each party's steps, the signatures and the bind.
Runtime enforcement
What is enforcedwhile the work runs.
The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.
The handoff
Between the front doorand the back office.
The front door
The website, the app, an agent on a call, or an AI agent over MCP; identity, proofs, signatures and payment stay on process-controlled screens.
The back office
The underwriter sees only quotes outside authority, with the rated record; the policy system receives one bound policy.
The Decision Desk
- A quote outside binding authority goes to the underwriter in the Decision Desk with the rated record and only bind as rated, bind with conditions, or decline with the adverse action notice.

Questions
What buyers ask next,answered plainly.
Can the applicant start online and finish with an agent?
Yes. It is one quote record; the agent sees where the applicant stopped, can co-browse, and sends a link back to the same record to finish.
When are the reports pulled?
At the start, with consent, so the rate is computed on the motor vehicle record, the prior carrier and the loss history rather than on answers that change at bind.
What has to be signed?
The state's selection and rejection forms for uninsured motorist and personal injury protection where it requires a signature, and the application; all on the applicant's phone, retained with the policy.
