Seller reverification

How do we reverify marketplace sellers on a schedule or a trigger, with the documents and the bank details updated and checked, and selling paused when they are not?

Run reverification as a cycle with suspension by rule. On the annual date the INFORM Consumers Act sets, at a document's expiry, or on a trigger (a changed bank account, a changed owner, a complaint pattern, a sanctions list update), Callvu classifies what the seller must recertify or update, sends the seller a link to confirm or replace each item, chases on a clock inside the rule's window, reads and verifies each update against the sources (the identity, the registry, the sanctions lists, the bank account ownership, the tax identifier), suspends listings and payouts by rule when the window closes without a complete recertification, routes a failed verification or a trigger that needs judgment to the trust desk in the Decision Desk, and writes the recertification, the updated record and the next date to the marketplace system, lifting any suspension when the seller completes.

The problem today

The seller changed the payout account to a new bank the week before the holiday peak, and nobody checked who owned it.

Today, without Callvu

Onboarding verifies a seller once; the seller then changes. A new bank account, a new owner, an expired identity document, a sanctions designation, a run of counterfeit complaints: each is a reason to look again, and the marketplace that looks only at onboarding is paying out to accounts it never verified. The annual recertification the law requires is a spreadsheet reminder.

The INFORM Consumers Act requires annual recertification of high-volume sellers' information and suspension of those who do not comply within the notice period; the anti-money-laundering program expects ongoing monitoring and re-verification on changes; the bank account ownership must be checked again on every change. The cycle has dates and triggers, and suspension by rule is what makes it real.

A seller reverified on change and on schedule is a seller whose payouts the marketplace can defend.

How it runs

From the requestto the system of record.

A seller's recertification date arrives, a document expires, or a trigger fires (a bank, owner or contact change, a complaint pattern, a sanctions list update, a chargeback ratio). Callvu opens the reverification on the seller.

Seller
Confirms or replaces the items through their link and attests to the current information.
Trust desk
Decides failed verifications and judgment triggers in the Decision Desk.
Verification vendors and registries
Return the identity, registry, sanctions and bank account checks.
Callvu
Classifies, chases, verifies, suspends by rule, routes and writes.
  1. Classify the cycle

The reason (the annual date, an expiry, a trigger) and the seller's type, volume and categories classify what must be recertified or updated: the attestation that the information is current, the replaced identity document, the updated business and owner details, the bank account with a new ownership verification where it changed, the tax form where the status changed, the category evidence nearing expiry; the window and the suspension rule are set from the law and the policy.

  2. Chase and verify

The seller receives a link listing each item with its deadline; each confirmation or replacement is read on arrival and verified against the sources (the identity vendor, the registry, the sanctions and adverse media lists, the bank account validation and the name match, the tax identifier); the seller is chased on the schedule inside the window with the suspension date visible.

  3. Decide and suspend by rule

A recertification complete and verified inside the window proceeds by rule; a window that closes without completion suspends listings and payouts by rule with the seller told what cures it; a failed verification, a bank owner mismatch, a sanctions or adverse media hit, a complaint pattern, or a trigger that needs judgment goes to the trust desk in the Decision Desk with the results and the history and only the allowed outcomes (recertify, recertify with limits or payout holds, require more evidence, suspend, or remove with the reason).

  4. Write back

The recertification with its date, the updated verified record, any suspension and its cure, and the next recertification date are written to the marketplace system, the system of record, and a suspension is lifted by rule when the seller completes.

Where it ends: Every seller was recertified on the schedule and reverified on change, with suspension by rule when the window closed and the trust desk deciding only the judgment cases, and the marketplace system holds the current record and the next date. The Decision Trace shows the classification, each verification and any decision; the Audit Trace shows the chases, the suspensions and the writes with time.

Runtime enforcement

What is enforcedwhile the work runs.

The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.

The handoff

Between the front doorand the back office.

The front door

The seller's link with the items, the deadlines and the suspension date visible.

The back office

The trust desk decides only failures and judgment triggers; suspensions and cures run by rule.

The Decision Desk

  • A failed verification, a bank owner mismatch, a sanctions hit, a complaint pattern or a judgment trigger goes to the trust desk in the Decision Desk with the results and the history and only recertify, recertify with limits, require evidence, suspend, or remove with the reason.

Questions

What buyers ask next,answered plainly.

When is a seller reverified?

On the annual recertification date the law sets, when a document expires, and on triggers such as a changed bank account or owner, a complaint pattern or a sanctions list update.

What happens if the seller does not respond?

When the window closes after the notice, listings and payouts are suspended by rule with the seller told what cures it, and the suspension lifts by rule when they complete.

Is a changed payout account checked?

Yes. Payouts to a new account are held until its ownership is verified and matched to the seller, before any money moves to it.
