Repayment plans
How do we offer a repayment plan, have the borrower accept it on a secure screen, and write the payment schedule to servicing?
Compute the plan from the loan and make the acceptance a signed screen. Callvu prefills the delinquency (the missed payments, the late charges, the escrow advances), computes the repayment plan under the investor's rules (the term, the monthly amount as the regular payment plus a portion of the arrears, the affordability test), presents the schedule to the borrower on a secure screen with the terms and the consequences of a missed plan payment, captures the acceptance, routes a plan outside the standard terms to the loss mitigation specialist in the Decision Desk, and writes the schedule to servicing with the credit reporting and the foreclosure hold.

The problem today
The borrower agreed to a plan on the phone; the agent's arithmetic was wrong, and the plan failed on its first payment.
A borrower two payments behind agrees to catch up over four months. The agent adds the arrears to the payment in their head, omits the late charges and the escrow advance, and sets a schedule the borrower cannot keep. Nothing is in writing. When the plan fails, the loan is further behind and the borrower has lost confidence.
The investors define the repayment plan: who is eligible, the maximum term, the monthly amount (usually the regular payment plus an equal share of the arrears), the affordability test, and what happens on a missed plan payment. Regulation X allows a short-term repayment plan on an incomplete application with the written notice. The plan is a computation with an acceptance.
A plan the borrower reads and signs is one they can keep.
How it runs
From the requestto the system of record.
A delinquent borrower asks to catch up, or the loss mitigation evaluation or early intervention offers a repayment plan. Callvu opens the plan on the loan.
- Borrower
- Reviews the schedule and accepts it on a secure screen.
- Loss mitigation specialist
- Decides a plan outside the standard terms in the Decision Desk.
- Servicing
- Books the schedule and tracks performance.
- Callvu
- Prefills, computes, presents, captures acceptance, routes and writes.
Prefill and compute
The missed payments, the late charges, the escrow advances and any fees are prefilled from servicing; the investor's rules set the eligible term and the plan is computed: the regular payment plus an equal share of the arrears over the term, with the affordability test against the borrower's stated income where the rules require.
Present and accept
The schedule (each date and amount, the total, the end date), the terms (late charges waived or not, the credit reporting, what a missed plan payment means) and the short-term exception notice where the plan is offered on an incomplete application are presented on a secure screen in any channel; the borrower accepts, and the acceptance is captured with its time.
Decide exceptions
A plan within the investor's standard terms is offered by rule; a longer term, a reduced first payment, or a repeat plan goes to the loss mitigation specialist in the Decision Desk with the computation and only the allowed outcomes.
Write back
The schedule, the plan terms, the credit reporting treatment and the foreclosure hold are written to the servicing system; plan payments are tracked against the schedule, and a missed plan payment triggers the policy's follow-up through the early intervention process.
Where it ends: The plan was computed from the loan under the investor's rules, accepted in writing, and servicing tracks it against the schedule. The Decision Trace shows the computation and any exception decision; the Audit Trace shows the presentation, the acceptance and the write.
Runtime enforcement
What is enforcedwhile the work runs.
The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.
The handoff
Between the front doorand the back office.
The front door
Any channel; the borrower reads and accepts the schedule on a secure screen.
The back office
The specialist decides only non-standard plans; servicing books from the acceptance.
The Decision Desk
- A plan outside the investor's standard terms goes to the loss mitigation specialist in the Decision Desk with the computation and only the allowed outcomes.

Questions
What buyers ask next,answered plainly.
How is the plan payment set?
By the investor's formula: the regular payment plus an equal share of the arrears (missed payments, late charges, escrow advances) over the term, with an affordability test where required.
What does the borrower sign?
The schedule with each date and amount, the terms, the credit reporting and the consequence of a missed plan payment, on a secure screen.
What if a plan payment is missed?
Servicing tracks the schedule, and a miss triggers the policy's follow-up through early intervention.
