EV rate and charger rebate enrollment

How do we enroll an EV owner on the EV rate or pay a charger rebate with the proof of purchase and installation checked and the rate or rebate applied?

Make the proof the application. Callvu identifies the customer and prefills the account (the premise, the current rate, the meter's interval capability, prior program enrollments), takes the application for the EV rate or the charger rebate on a secure screen (the vehicle and its registration, the charger's make and model, the installation date and the installer, the receipts), chases the proofs the program requires (the vehicle registration or the lease, the charger's purchase receipt and the listing, the installation invoice and the permit, a photo of the installed charger), checks each against the eligibility rules, routes an eligibility question or an amount above the limit to the program desk in the Decision Desk, and writes the rate change with its effective cycle or the rebate as a bill credit or a payment to CIS and the billing system.

The problem today

The rebate application had a receipt for the wrong charger model, and the EV rate was applied to a meter that could not measure time of use.

Today, without Callvu

EV programs are popular and their applications are paperwork: a registration, a receipt, an invoice, a photo, each emailed to a program mailbox and checked by hand weeks later. The charger on the receipt is not the listed model; the installation invoice has no permit; the customer is put on a time-of-use rate on a meter that reads monthly, and the bill is estimated.

The tariff's EV rate provisions set the eligibility (an EV registered at the premise, a meter capable of the rate's intervals, the customer class), the rate's periods and prices, the election and the minimum term; the rebate program sets the eligible chargers (the listed models, the networked requirement), the installation requirements (a licensed installer, the permit), the amounts and the caps, and the proof. Each proof is a document with a check, and the rate needs the meter.

A program that checks the proofs at application pays the right rebate and bills the right rate.

How it runs

From the requestto the system of record.

A customer applies for the EV rate or the charger rebate online, in the app or by phone, or an installer submits on the customer's behalf. Callvu opens the application on the account.

Customer
Applies, uploads the proofs, elects the rate and accepts the terms on a secure screen.
Installer
Provides the installation invoice, the permit and the photos through a link where the customer does not.
Program desk
Decides eligibility questions and amounts above the limit in the Decision Desk.
Callvu
Prefills, takes the application, chases the proofs, checks, routes and writes.
  1. Prefill and apply

The account, the premise, the current rate, the meter's interval capability and prior enrollments are prefilled; the application captures the request (the EV rate, the charger rebate, or both), the vehicle, the charger's make and model, the installation date and the installer, and the rate election and its terms where the rate is requested.

  2. Chase and verify the proofs

The proofs the program requires are requested through a link: the vehicle registration or the lease showing the premise address, the charger's purchase receipt with the model, the installation invoice from a licensed installer with the permit number, and a photo of the installed charger with its label; each is read on arrival and checked (the model against the eligible list, the address against the premise, the installer's license, the invoice date within the program window, the amount against the cap), and what is missing or inconsistent is chased with the specifics.

  3. Decide

An application that passes is approved by rule within the program's budget; an eligibility question (a vehicle registered elsewhere, an unlisted charger, a meter that needs an exchange for the rate, a prior rebate at the premise), an amount above the limit, or a program at its cap goes to the program desk in the Decision Desk with the checks and only the allowed outcomes (approve, approve a reduced amount, order the meter exchange and approve the rate from it, waitlist, or deny with the reason).

  4. Write back

The rate change with its effective cycle and term, or the rebate as a bill credit or a payment with the customer's chosen method, is written to CIS and the billing system, the customer receives the confirmation with the rate's periods or the rebate amount, and the program's budget and the premise's rebate history are updated.

Where it ends: The customer's proofs were checked against the program's rules at application, the meter was confirmed for the rate, the decision was by rule or by the program desk, and CIS and the billing system hold the rate or the rebate. The Decision Trace shows each proof's check and any decision; the Audit Trace shows the application, the uploads and the write with time.

Runtime enforcement

What is enforcedwhile the work runs.

The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.

The handoff

Between the front doorand the back office.

The front door

Online, in the app or by phone; the installer through a link.

The back office

The program desk decides only exceptions; billing applies the rate and the rebate from the record.

The Decision Desk

  • An eligibility question, an amount above the limit, a meter needing exchange or a program at its cap goes to the program desk in the Decision Desk with the checks and only approve, approve reduced, order the meter and approve, waitlist, or deny with the reason.

Questions

What buyers ask next,answered plainly.

What proofs are needed?

The vehicle registration or lease at the premise, the charger's receipt with the model, the installation invoice from a licensed installer with the permit, and a photo of the installed charger, each checked against the program's rules.

What if the meter cannot measure the rate?

The meter exchange is ordered first and the rate takes effect from the exchange; the rate is never applied to a meter that cannot measure it.

How is the rebate paid?

As a bill credit or a payment by the customer's chosen method within the program's period, written to CIS and the billing system with the premise's rebate history updated.
