Dedicated internet and circuit order

How do we take a dedicated internet or circuit order with the site survey, the access data and the letter of authority collected before the order goes to provisioning?

Collect what provisioning will need before provisioning asks. Callvu prefills the order from the account and the quote (the service, the bandwidth, the term, the sites, the demarcation and the equipment), classifies what each site needs (a site survey, the building access and the landlord's permission, the entrance facility and the riser, the demarcation details, the technical contact, a letter of authority for a circuit the customer is moving from another provider, the construction where the building is off-net), chases each item from the customer's site and technical contacts and the building owner through links on the order's schedule, reads and checks each (the survey against the service, the access windows, the letter of authority's circuit identifiers), routes a construction cost, an access refusal or a design change to the order desk in the Decision Desk, and releases the order to provisioning only when each site's items pass, written to the BSS with the committed dates.

The problem today

The circuit order sat in provisioning for six weeks waiting for a landlord's signature nobody had asked for.

Today, without Callvu

A dedicated circuit is a physical thing: it needs a path into the building, a place to terminate, access for the technicians, equipment on site, and sometimes construction. The order goes to provisioning with the service and the address, and provisioning discovers the rest one item at a time: the survey, the landlord, the riser, the demarcation, the letter of authority for the circuit being replaced. Each discovery is a week.

The items are known from the service and the site: on-net or off-net, the building type, the entrance facility, the demarcation, the customer's technical contact, the landlord's permission for the work, the letter of authority with the circuit identifiers when a circuit moves from another provider, and the construction estimate where the path does not exist. They can be collected from the people who hold them before the order is released, in parallel, with the committed date set from what came back.

A circuit order released with its items complete is a circuit delivered on the committed date.

How it runs

From the requestto the system of record.

A customer accepts a quote for dedicated internet or a circuit. Callvu opens the order on the account and prefills it from the quote.

Customer's site and technical contacts
Provide the access, the demarcation and the technical details, and the letter of authority, through their links.
Building owner or manager
Grants the access and the work permission through a link.
Order desk and engineering
Decide construction, access and design exceptions in the Decision Desk.
Provisioning
Receives a complete order with committed dates.
Callvu
Prefills, classifies, chases, checks, routes, releases and writes.
  1. Prefill and classify

The service, the bandwidth, the term, the sites, the equipment and the pricing are prefilled from the quote and the account; each site is classified (on-net or off-net, the building type and the known entrance facilities, a new circuit or a replacement of another provider's) and the items it needs are listed: the site survey, the building access and the landlord's permission, the entrance and riser details, the demarcation location, the technical and site contacts, the letter of authority with the existing circuit's identifiers, the construction estimate where off-net.

  2. Chase and verify

Each item is requested from its holder through a link (the customer's contacts for the technical and access details and the letter of authority, the building owner for the permission and the access windows, the survey vendor for the survey) on the order's schedule; each is read and checked on arrival (the survey supports the service and names the demarcation, the permission covers the work and the path, the letter of authority's circuit identifiers match the provider's records, the contacts are reachable); what fails is re-requested with the specifics.

  3. Decide

A site whose items pass is ready; a construction cost above the quote's assumption, an access refusal, a survey that changes the design, a letter of authority that does not match, or a customer who wants to proceed with a site missing an item goes to the order desk or engineering in the Decision Desk with the site's items and only the allowed outcomes (release, release with a revised quote, release the other sites, hold).

  4. Release and write back

Each ready site's order is released to provisioning with the items attached and the committed date set from the survey and the construction, the order is written to the BSS with the sites, the dates and the status, the customer's contacts see the dates and the installation appointments through the dispatch process, and a change during provisioning returns to the order with the record intact.

Where it ends: Each site's physical and contractual items were collected from the people who hold them before provisioning saw the order, the exceptions were decided with the items in view, and the BSS, the system of record, holds the order with committed dates provisioning can keep. The Decision Trace shows each site's classification, the checks and any decision; the Audit Trace shows each request, arrival and release with time.

Runtime enforcement

What is enforcedwhile the work runs.

The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.

The handoff

Between the front doorand the back office.

The front door

The accepted quote; the customer's contacts and the building owner each through their own link.

The back office

The order desk and engineering decide only exceptions; provisioning receives complete orders with dates.

The Decision Desk

  • A construction cost above the assumption, an access refusal, a design change from the survey, a mismatched letter of authority or a request to proceed with a site incomplete goes to the order desk or engineering in the Decision Desk with the items and only release, release with a revised quote, release the other sites, or hold.

Questions

What buyers ask next,answered plainly.

What is collected before provisioning?

Per site: the survey, the building access and the landlord's permission, the entrance and demarcation details, the technical and site contacts, the letter of authority for a circuit being replaced, and the construction estimate where off-net.

Who provides what?

The customer's contacts the technical and access details and the letter of authority, the building owner the permission and the access windows, the survey vendor the survey, each through their own link and checked on arrival.

When is the date committed?

From the complete order and the survey, by site, under the agreement's interval, and written to the BSS where the customer's contacts see it.
