Claim payment and payee details
How do we pay an approved claim with the payee's identity and bank details verified, the lienholder or mortgagee endorsements handled, and sanctions screening done before the money moves?
Treat the payment as a verified instruction with every payee on it. When a claim is approved, Callvu reads the settlement and the parties entitled to payment (the claimant, a mortgagee or lienholder, a body shop or contractor, an attorney, a public adjuster), chases each payee's identity, payment method and tax details through their own secure link, screens every payee against the OFAC lists, obtains the mortgagee's or lienholder's endorsement or the joint-payee instruction the policy requires, routes a payment above authority or with a screening hit to the claims payments approver in the Decision Desk, and writes the payment with its payees, method and screening results to the claims system and the payment rail.

The problem today
The settlement check was mailed to an address the claimant left two months ago, and the mortgagee was not on it.
A claim is approved. The adjuster requests a check to the claimant at the address on the policy. The claimant moved after the loss; the check is returned, reissued, and takes three weeks. The property policy named a mortgagee the check should have included, so the bank refuses to release the funds for repairs. A body shop is paid by a separate check from the same desk, with its bank details taken over the phone.
A claim payment has rules beyond the amount: the policy's loss payable and mortgage clauses name parties who must be on the payment, the sanctions rules require screening every payee before funds move, the claimant may want electronic payment to an account that must be verified against fraud, tax reporting needs the payee's taxpayer information for certain payments, and the unfair claims practices acts set the period for payment after the claim is accepted. Every payee is a party with their own details to give.
The payment should be as careful as the adjustment, and as fast as the claimant expects.
How it runs
From the requestto the system of record.
A claim or a part of it is approved for payment in the claims system. Callvu opens the payment with the settlement and the parties entitled to it.
- Claimant
- Chooses the payment method, verifies identity and gives account details on a secure screen, and sees when the payment is sent.
- Mortgagee or lienholder
- Receives the joint payment or endorses it under the policy's clause through their own link.
- Claims payments
- Approves payments above authority or with a screening hit in the Decision Desk and releases the funds.
- Callvu
- Reads the settlement, chases each payee, screens, routes, writes and sends.
Read the settlement and the payees
The approved amount, the coverage it is paid under, the deductible applied, and the parties entitled to payment under the policy (the named insured, an additional insured, the mortgagee or lienholder on the declarations, an assignee of benefits, a repairer under a direction to pay, an attorney of record, a public adjuster) are read from the claims system and the policy system; the payment is split or made joint as the clauses require.
Chase and verify each payee
Each payee receives their own secure link: the claimant verifies identity and chooses electronic payment, a card push, a check or a digital wallet, entering account details on a process-controlled screen never seen by an agent, with the account verified against the fraud and account validation services; the mortgagee endorses or confirms the joint payee instruction; a vendor or attorney gives bank details and taxpayer information on their link; every payee is screened against the OFAC lists and the insurer's watch lists before any release.
Decide
A payment within authority with clean screening and verified payees is released by rule; a payment above the adjuster's authority, a screening hit or a near match, an unverified account, a changed payee or a payee added after approval goes to claims payments in the Decision Desk with the details and only the allowed outcomes: release, hold with the reason, or block and report where sanctions require.
Write back and send
The payment with its payees, the method, the screening results, the endorsements and the approval is written to the claims system, sent through the payment rail, confirmed to each payee, and reported for tax where required; a returned or failed payment reopens the payee's link rather than a check in the mail.
Where it ends: Every payee was verified on their own link and screened before the money moved, the policy's clauses determined who was on the payment, and the claims system holds the payment with its evidence. The Decision Trace shows the payee determination, each screening result and any approval; the Audit Trace shows each payee's details capture, the release and the confirmation.
Runtime enforcement
What is enforcedwhile the work runs.
The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.
The handoff
Between the front doorand the back office.
The front door
Each payee on their own secure link; the claimant chooses the method and enters details nobody else sees.
The back office
Claims payments approves only exceptions; the release is a rule on verified, screened payees.
The Decision Desk
- A payment above authority, a screening hit, an unverified account or a changed payee goes to claims payments in the Decision Desk with the details and only release, hold with the reason, or block and report.

Questions
What buyers ask next,answered plainly.
Who is on the payment?
The parties the policy's loss payable and mortgage clauses and the claim's record name: the insured, a mortgagee or lienholder, a repairer under a direction to pay, an attorney or a public adjuster, determined before any details are collected.
How are bank details collected?
By each payee on their own process-controlled screen, verified against account validation and fraud services, never read to an agent over the phone.
When is sanctions screening done?
At release, for every payee including changes and additions, with a hit stopping the payment for a decision and a true match blocked and reported.
