Home internet and TV order

How do we take a home internet and TV order with serviceability checked at the address, the plan chosen, the broadband label and the disclosures shown, and an installation slot booked?

Start from the address and end with a booked slot, on one screen. Callvu prefills the customer where known, validates the address and checks serviceability (the technology available, the speed tiers, the TV service, any construction or waitlist), presents the eligible plans with the FCC broadband consumer label for each and the truth-in-billing disclosures, takes the plan, the equipment and the add-on choices, chases what the order needs (the identity and the credit decision through their processes, the property owner's permission for a renter where the policy requires, the existing provider's details for a transfer), books the installation or the self-install shipment from the field system's availability, routes a serviceability exception or a construction case to the order desk in the Decision Desk, and writes the order, the label shown and the appointment to the BSS, the system of record, with the confirmation to the customer. The problem today

The customer ordered a speed tier the street could not deliver, saw no label, and the technician arrived to a locked building without the landlord's permission.

Today, without Callvu

A broadband order is a promise about an address: what the network can deliver there, at what speed, with what equipment, on what day. When the order is taken without the serviceability check in front of it, the promise is wrong; when the plan is chosen without the label, the price is a surprise; when the installation is booked without the access details, the technician's visit is wasted. Each failure is a cancellation or a complaint, and the regulator now requires the label at the point of sale.

The FCC's broadband consumer label rule requires the standardized label (the monthly price, the introductory rate and its end, the fees, the speeds, the latency, the data allowances, the network management and privacy links) at the point of sale for each plan offered; the truth-in-billing rules require the bill to match; the field system holds the technician availability; the property rules require the owner's permission for work in a rented or multi-dwelling building. The order can carry all of it.

An order that starts with the address and shows the label is an installation that happens on the day.

How it runs

From the requestto the system of record.

A customer starts a home internet or TV order on the web, in the app, in a store or on a call, with an address. Callvu validates the address and opens the order.

Customer
Confirms the address, chooses the plan from the labels, provides the access details and the permissions, and picks the installation slot.
Agent
Works the same order on a call and sends the link for the secure steps.
Order desk
Decides serviceability exceptions and construction cases in the Decision Desk.
Field service
Supplies the availability and receives the booked appointment with the access details.
Callvu
Validates the address, checks serviceability, shows the labels and disclosures, chases, books, routes and writes.
  1. Prefill and check serviceability

The customer is prefilled where known; the address is validated against the postal and the carrier's location databases, and serviceability is checked: the technology at the address, the speed tiers available, the TV service, the equipment required, any construction, waitlist or multi-dwelling arrangement; an address that is not serviceable is told at once with the option to be notified.

  2. Choose the plan with the label

The eligible plans are presented each with its FCC broadband consumer label (the monthly price, the introductory rate and when it ends, the fees, the typical speeds and latency, the data allowance, the network management and privacy policy links) and the truth-in-billing disclosures; the customer chooses the plan, the equipment (the gateway, the TV devices, self-install or professional), the add-ons and any bundle, and the label shown is recorded with the order.

  3. Chase and verify what the order needs

The identity and the credit decision are applied through their processes for a new customer; the property owner's permission is chased for a renter or a multi-dwelling building where the policy requires it (through the property access process); the existing provider's details are taken for a transfer; the access details for the installation (the gate code, the pets, the building contact) are captured; a serviceability exception (a construction case, a waitlist, a disputed address) goes to the order desk in the Decision Desk with the check and only the allowed outcomes.

  4. Book and write back

The installation slot is chosen from the field system's real availability (or the self-install kit shipment is scheduled), the order with the plan, the label shown, the equipment, the permissions, the access details and the appointment is written to the BSS, the system of record, the field system receives the appointment, and the customer receives the confirmation with the label, the appointment and what to expect.

Where it ends: The order was taken against the real serviceability at the address, with the label shown and recorded, the permissions and the access details captured, and the installation booked from real availability, all in the BSS. The Decision Trace shows the serviceability check, the label shown and any decision; the Audit Trace shows the choices, the chases and the booking with time.

Runtime enforcement

What is enforcedwhile the work runs.

The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.

The handoff

Between the front doorand the back office.

The front door

The web, the app, the store or a call with a link; the customer completes on their own screen.

The back office

The order desk decides only serviceability exceptions; field service receives booked appointments with access details.

The Decision Desk

  • A construction case, a waitlist or a disputed address goes to the order desk in the Decision Desk with the serviceability check and only proceed with the condition, add to the waitlist with the notice, or decline with the reason.

Questions

What buyers ask next,answered plainly.

What is checked before plans are shown?

The address is validated and serviceability is checked for the technology, the speed tiers, the TV service, the equipment and any construction or waitlist, so only plans the address can receive appear.

Is the broadband label shown?

Yes, for each eligible plan at the point of sale, with the price, the fees, the speeds and the allowances, and the label shown is recorded with the order.

How is the installation booked?

From the field system's real availability, after the property permission and the access details are captured, with the confirmation to the customer.
