Automated underwriting findings follow-up
How do we turn automated underwriting findings into tasks for the right party and track each until the finding is satisfied?
Read the findings report and route each line. When the automated underwriting system returns its findings, Callvu reads the verification messages and the required documents, classifies each by what satisfies it and who can provide it, creates a task per finding with a link to the party, reads and checks what comes back against the finding's requirement, and marks each satisfied, so the file is ready for underwriting with every finding addressed and the final findings re-run on the verified data.

The problem today
The findings report is twelve pages, the processor highlights it, and the re-run comes back with new findings nobody read.
The automated underwriting system returns a findings report: the recommendation and a list of what must be verified and documented. The processor reads it, highlights the lines, and works them from memory against the needs list. Data changes; the file is re-run; the findings change; the highlights are stale. The underwriter finds a message that was never addressed.
The findings are structured: each message has a code, a requirement and a document type that satisfies it, and the data the recommendation rested on. The programs require the lender to satisfy the findings and to re-run on the final data. It is a list meant for a process.
Every line of the report is a task. The report is the task list.
How it runs
From the requestto the system of record.
The automated underwriting system returns findings for the loan in the LOS. Callvu reads the report and opens the findings case.
- Processor
- Sees each finding's status and handles only what the checks could not resolve.
- Underwriter
- Receives the file with every finding addressed and the final findings on the verified data.
- Borrower
- Provides the items that are theirs through a link.
- Callvu
- Reads, classifies, creates tasks, chases, checks, re-runs and records.
Read and classify the findings
Each verification message and required document in the report is read with its code and classified: what satisfies it (a document type, a verification, a data correction), who can provide it (the borrower, an employer, the processor), and whether it is a prior-to-docs or prior-to-funding item.
Chase and verify
Each finding becomes a task with a link to the party; documents and verifications are read on arrival and checked against the finding's requirement (the right document type and period, the value the data rested on); a response that does not satisfy the finding is sent back with the reason.
Re-run on the verified data
When verified values differ from the data the findings rested on (income, assets, liabilities), the LOS data is corrected through the process and the system is re-run; new or changed findings are read and routed the same way, and the final findings are kept with the data they rested on.
Write back
Each finding's satisfaction with the document or verification is written to the LOS against the finding's code, and the file goes to underwriting with the final findings and the evidence.
Where it ends: Every finding on the final report was satisfied with a checked document or verification, the re-run rested on verified data, and the underwriter received the file with the evidence against each code. The Decision Trace shows each finding's classification and check; the Audit Trace shows each task, response and re-run.
Runtime enforcement
What is enforcedwhile the work runs.
The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.
The handoff
Between the front doorand the back office.
The front door
The findings report from the automated underwriting system; parties meet the process in task links.
The back office
The processor works a code-level list; the underwriter receives evidence against each finding.
The Decision Desk
- A finding the parties cannot satisfy, or a data variance that changes the recommendation, goes to the underwriter in the Decision Desk with the finding and the data, and only the allowed outcomes.

Questions
What buyers ask next,answered plainly.
How are the findings turned into tasks?
Each verification message and required document is read with its code and classified by what satisfies it and who can provide it, then sent to that party with a link.
What happens when verified data differs?
The LOS data is corrected through the process and the system is re-run; the new findings are routed the same way and the final findings are kept with their data.
What does the underwriter receive?
The file with every finding satisfied by a checked document or verification, and the final findings on the verified data.
