International remittance transfers
How do we send a consumer international transfer with the prepayment disclosure, the receipt, the OFAC check and the cancellation window handled in order?
Put the Remittance Transfer Rule's order into the process. Callvu identifies the sender, prefills the recipient and the corridor, screens the parties, produces the prepayment disclosure with the exact amounts and the date of availability before the sender pays, captures the sender's confirmation, issues the receipt, sends the transfer, tracks the 30-minute cancellation window and the error resolution rights, and writes the transfer and both disclosures to the record.

The problem today
The disclosure is printed after the wire is keyed, and the exchange rate on it is not the one applied.
A customer sends money to family abroad. The branch keys the wire, quotes a rate from a screen, and prints a form. The amount the recipient gets differs from what the form said, the fees were not all on it, and the customer did not know they could cancel within 30 minutes. A complaint follows, and the examiner reads the Remittance Transfer Rule to the bank.
The rule requires a prepayment disclosure with the exchange rate, the fees and taxes, the amount received, and the date of availability, given before payment; a receipt with the same plus the cancellation and error resolution rights; a 30-minute cancellation right; and error resolution with its own 180-day notice period and investigation clocks. Sanctions screening of the sender, the recipient and the corridor happens before the transfer goes.
Done by hand, the order is wrong and the amounts drift. Done as a process, the disclosure is produced from the quote the transfer will use.
How it runs
From the requestto the system of record.
A consumer asks to send an international transfer in the app, online, in a branch, or on a call. Callvu identifies the sender and opens the transfer.
- Customer
- Provides the recipient and the amount, reads the prepayment disclosure, confirms, pays, receives the receipt, and may cancel within the window.
- Wire room
- Releases the transfer from the confirmed case and handles exceptions in the Decision Desk.
- Callvu
- Prefills, screens, produces the disclosures from the quote, captures confirmation, releases, tracks the windows and records.
Prefill and screen
The sender's details and saved recipients are prefilled from the core. The recipient, the receiving institution and the corridor are captured and screened against the sanctions lists; a hit holds the transfer for resolution before anything else.
Prepayment disclosure
From the quote the transfer will use, Callvu produces the prepayment disclosure: the amount sent, the fees and taxes, the exchange rate, the amount the recipient receives, and the date of availability, in the required form and languages. The sender confirms on a process-controlled screen before paying.
Chase and verify
Where the corridor or the amount requires more (a purpose of payment, an identification refresh under the bank's policy), it is collected on the same screen. The sender pays, and the receipt with the disclosure content, the cancellation right and the error resolution rights is issued at once.
Decide and release
A transfer inside the rules is released by the wire room from the confirmed case after the cancellation window, or at once where the sender has scheduled it later; a screening hit, a high-value or high-risk corridor transfer, or a policy exception goes to the wire room in the Decision Desk with only the allowed outcomes.
Write back
The transfer, both disclosures, the confirmation and receipt times, the screening result and the release are written to the wire system and the core. The cancellation window and the 180-day error notice period are tracked on the record, and a cancellation or an error notice runs from the same case.
Where it ends: The transfer went with the disclosures in the right order, the amounts on the receipt match what was sent and received, the parties were screened, and the cancellation and error rights are tracked. The Decision Trace shows the disclosure content and the screening; the Audit Trace shows every step and time.
Runtime enforcement
What is enforcedwhile the work runs.
The regulations preloaded in Callvu Studio and the bank's own policies, applied as steps that run, not lines in a binder. A step that breaks a rule does not run, so a completed run was compliant.
The handoff
Between the front doorand the back office.
The front door
The app, online, a branch or a call. Disclosures are confirmed on the sender's screen, never on a printout after the fact.
The back office
The wire room releases from the confirmed case and decides only exceptions. The disclosures are retained with the transfer.
The Decision Desk
- A screening hit, a high-value or high-risk corridor transfer, or a policy exception goes to the wire room in the Decision Desk with the case and only the allowed outcomes.

Questions
What buyers ask next,answered plainly.
When is the prepayment disclosure given?
Before the sender pays, on their screen, produced from the quote the transfer will use, and confirmed with a timestamp.
Can the sender cancel?
Within 30 minutes of payment, for a full refund. The window is tracked on the record and a cancellation runs from the same case.
What about sanctions screening?
The sender, the recipient, the receiving institution and the corridor are screened before release; a hit holds the transfer until resolved.
